This Micromusical is a tragedy by Shakespeare, first performed in 1606. Macbeth is a Scottish general. On a windswept heath, three witches prophesy that Macbeth will replace Duncan as king of Scotland. Macbeth’s own ambition, added to his wife’s even greater ambition, causes Macbeth to kill Duncan (as well as oa number of other people) But his paranoia and blood-thirsty actions result in a civil war that ultimately destroys him.
